Over 20 Zambians were documented to have died in extrajudicial killings in Zambia in 2024, the latest USA Country Report on Zambia has established.
The report has also reported significant human rights issues which includes credible reports of arbitrary or unlawful killings torture and cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment; and serious restrictions on freedom of expression and media freedom, including violence and threats of violence against journalists.
