A Clinical Officer at Mwase Clinic has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl in Lundazi District.
According to police reports, the victim, a Grade Eight (Form 1) pupil at Mwase Day Secondary School from Riverside Compound, Chief Mwase, was allegedly defiled on 23 September 2025 at around 16:30 hours at Mwase Clinic Compound. The incident was reported to Mwase Police Post the following day by her aunt.
The suspect, Christopher Mulenga, aged 34, and employed at Mwase Clinic, was taken into custody shortly after the report. A medical examination has been conducted, and the suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Robertson Mweemba confirmed the arrest and urged members of the public to report any similar incidents to the authorities promptly.
