21. The Gini Coefficient : This measures the gap between the Rich & the Poor in a Country. Before 2021 the gap was narrow and the middle class had access to money and wealth. Now the gap is at its widest in the history of Zambia. We have the very few (known less than 10), that have become very rich overnight while the majority middle class, SMEs, Micro SMES, traders and ordinary citizens have lost their net worth significantly in the last 4 years. Zambia now ranks in the top 10 of the World on this wide gap measure that signifies unfair wealth accumulated by a few from government deals and contracts.
